On October 6th the Hetairoi were guests of the Gentes Danubii in the Museum of Military History at the Long Night of the Museums in Vienna, Austria.
On Sa, September 22nd and Su, September 23rd, the Hetairoi had the opportunity to take part in the opening of the “Lab for Experimental Archeology” in Mayen, Germany.
As in the year before, the Hetairoi were part of the “Long Night of the Museums” on Sat, Oct. 1st 2011 in the Ephesos-Museum in Vienna, Austria.
In September 2011, the Hetairoi brought ancient Greek history to life for the visitors of the Ephesos-Museum in Vienna, Austria.
Under new direction, the “Fourth Meeting of the ancient Greek World and its neighboring Peoples” took place hosted by the Freilichtmuseum Heuneburg.
Appearance in a lesson of a history course at University Essen.
At the start of April, this event took place near Vienna, Austria. It was a multi-period event with the Hetairoi marking the earliest impressions and other groups ranging up to the 15th century a.d.
This was a charity event, where all earnings were donated to the “Make-A-Wish” foundation, which supports children with cancer.
As part of the exhibition “Amazons – Mysterious Warriors” the Hetairoi took part in the “Amazon Weekend” of the historical Museum of the Pfalzin Speyer.
As always, we were available for questions from the audience and demonstrated several aspects of the military and civil and mythological life in Classical Greece.
On Saturday, October 2nd, the Hetairoi were part of the long night of the museums in the capitol of Austria, Vienna. During the appearance, we were able to answer many questions from the audience and demonstrated our equipment with several presentations. The event took place in the Ephesos Museum.
Early June 2010 the Hetairoi took part in the Journées Gallo Romaines in St Romain en Gal, near Lyon, France.
Together with the group Athenea Promakhos of France and other reenactors, we mainly demonstrated aspects from the military life of Classical Greece.
As part of the exhibiton “Alexander der Große und die Öffnung der Welt – Asiens Kulturen im Wandel” in the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen, the Hetairoi took part in the “Long Familynight”. The event took place on January 30th 2010.
For the third time reenactors with ancient Greek or neighboring impressions met in August 2009. Even an international guest, who made his way from Athens, came to take part in the event.
The location was again the beautiful Freilichtmuseum Heuneburg.
After the success of the first event a second meeting of ancient reenactors with Greek or neighboring impressions took place in August 2008. This time also some Celtic hosts were present. The event again took place on the Freilichtmuseum Heuneburg.
In September 2007 for the first time a national convention for all ancient Reenacters with impressions from the Mediterranean areas took place on the Freilichtmuseum Heuneburg.
